The results are in! I can now share a full lineup for what we’ll read and discuss this summer.

The poll for officially-released light novel had a clear winner in Re:Zero, which earned first place with 67 votes. We will read that book in August, following Baccano! in June and Psycome in July. Looks like we’ll be sticking with new releases for each month then. For those interested, here are the full results of the poll.

Meanwhile for fan-translated light novels, first place was The Empty Box and the Zeroth Maria (to be read in June) with 27 votes, followed by second place Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash (to be read in July) with 17 votes. Here are the full results of the poll in the end.

For my fan-translated light novel pick, I will go with Our Journey to the End of the Ceasing World. This happened to get third place in the poll with 13 votes. It was on my to-read list already… Actually, it’s already on my Kindle! So let’s give that a read this August.

Summary: In June, we will read the first volumes of Baccano! and The Empty Box and the Zeroth Maria. Then in July, we will read the first volumes of Psycome and Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash. And finally in August, we will read the first volumes of Re:Zero and Our Journey to the End of the Ceasing World. All in all, I think it’s a nice variety of stories! How the first month’s reading schedule will probably play out:

I’ll give page numbers to read up to or specific chapters to finish for each month’s three posts. This way, we can discuss what we like or dislike about how the stories are going, and predict what will happen next. As always, feel free to ask questions here. Thanks for voting, everyone! I’ll be sure to post specifics for June’s reading once that month approaches.
